Established in 1929, Basil Paterson is a small independent college and exam centre located in the heart of Edinburgh.
At Basil Paterson Tutorial College we like to treat all our students as adults, encouraging them to take responsibility for their learning and achievement. We offer a small, friendly learning context and a supportive atmosphere with small class sizes and experienced tutors.
We feel that personalised teaching can have an extremely positive impact on all pupils and helps create a comfortable learning environment conducive to academic development.
About the College
We offer an academic, year-round alternative to school for school pupils aged 16-18 eligible to study in S5/S6. Small class sizes with no more than 8 students per class. Part time day courses, online courses and 1:1 tuition available in a range of subjects at National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher.
